New Live Video ~ Whatever Happened to the Bookstore

Lift your head up, lift your head up, lift your head up, lift your head up now! It is about truly taking in all of the beauty in the moments and the world around you, and also about looking directly at the things in our world that need action and reform. Here is a live performance from The Repressions’ latest show at c’mon everybody in Brooklyn.

Upcoming Shows & A Video in Flannel

Save the evening dates! Next live in person shows Wednesday August 24th in Brooklyn, Friday September 2, and Sunday September 4th in Queens! More details to come very soon. Another Twitch Raid Train show will be Saturday August 20th at 8pm, and Tonight and Tuesday we’ll be playin on Twitch and what may happen? Something like this:

Doing a Twitch show is a unique performing experience. While the venue has more creature comforts, you tend to play much longer sets than at a music venue. You have to be ready for anything at either gig, but there is a tension and freedom taking random requests and improvising on a song you may have never played before. Nate did a fantastic job winging it with one of Barbara’s favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, Dosed, on YouTube today.
