Lift Your Head Up
TERRA FIRMA in Brooklyn – Saturday October 14 – Kyle Rogers Album Release Show
Kyle has written and recorded a wise and sneaky smart soulful album of Kyle songs.. Â Goodness it is so good. The Repressions are very honored to be playing his big show.

A SONG FOR ICHARUS June 2017
LYRICS:
SLIDING SCALE
This is a sick song
This is a sad song
This is a bad song
Where everything’s wrong
I’m coming apart now
Soul-sick in my heart now
I can’t even start now
So run right along
I’m lying in bed bow
So leave me for dead now
Get out of my head now
I’m not very strong
On my sliding scale of sadness
On my third derail today
You pay for how you play and what you cannot say and what you throw away
Which came first the sick or sad which way… Sliding scale… Sliding scale
This is a sick song
This is a sad song
This is a bad song
Where everything’s wrong
I’m not a machine here
Quit acting so mean dear
I’ll fix it up next year
If that’s not too long
The world’s a bit gray now
it’s just not my day now
Can’t go out and play now
I do not belong
On my sliding scale of sadness
On my third derail today
You pay for how you play and what you cannot say and what you throw away
Which came first the sick or sad which way……………….. Sliding scale…. Sliding Scale…… Sliding scale….Sliding scale
This is a sick song, This is a sad song This is a bad song , Where everything’s wrong
This is a sick song, This is a sad song This is a bad song , Where everything’s wrong
This Saturday, March 25, Barbara Dragun of The Repressions is playing a show with her wonderful musician friends, opening for The Greenstreets! The talented superheroes will be joining her onstage with new original songs and cool covers featuring the xylophone… and it is confirmed that Ben Absurdo will be jumping into the fray as well… So, that’s a little Repressions and a whole lot of fun! Free show… hope to see you there!

Here is a video of Barbara doing a solo cover of I’m Going to Go Back There Someday, as made famous by Gonzo in THE MUPPET MOVIE. Performed live at The Quays in Astoria, Queens.
While The Repressions are preparing to finally record their full length album, where can you find a lot of their music? For now… this playlist of mostly live videos… Not quite all of the songs but a good deal.. plus two strange cover songs. Thank you for listening.
