Porch Stomp Music Festival Today

The Repressions are playing at 12:30pm on the King Avenue Stage, today, at the 2025 Porch Stomp Music Festival! This is a free, all ages show with 18 stages, hundreds of perfomers and the weather is looking beautiful for tomorrow. Details on travel and more stage maps are available on the Porch Stomp website. The Repressions are jangly-excited to be playing the King Avenue Stage at Porch Stomp Music Festival! Saturday- June 21st from 11am-6pm. NPR Tiny Desk Contest 2024 ~ Each Time You Go Away

The Repressions’ new song “Each Time You Go Away” is the official entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest 2024! This contest features independent artists and is a splendid showcase of songwriting and desks! A new tiny desk and all of the previous customized tiny desks can be found in the video

In life we try on many hats, as we should, to figure out who we are. The world at large puts many hats, labels, and behaviors upon us that may not align with who we really are, and the parts of ourselves that we know, deeply, and without pretense. Each Time You Go Away is a song about going away from, and trying to get back to, your true self.

Caravan of Dreams and Brooklyn Music Kitchen

What a wonderful weekend of music at two beautiful spots! On Friday DEcember 1st, The Repressions were honored to play at The Plant Powered Disruptors Beatles Tribute Show at the historic Caravan of Dreams! Caravan of Dreams place has been a favorite spot, and an East Village institution since the 1990’s, and Plant Powered Disruptors hosted a great evening including pianist Wendy Ip.

The very next night The Repressions had an excellent show at the lovely Brooklyn Music Kitchen~ comeplete with purple and green themed lighting! Many thanks to Brookyln Music Kitchen and their excellent sound, stage and house team, and to the wonderful crowd!
