Bright Lights is Coming ~ New Year’s Eve Single Release
Six years in the making~ .BRIGHT LIGHTS is coming at last to all music platforms, and in tandem with the offiical video, both releasing on New Year’s Eve at midnight.

What a delightfully dizzy time on December 2, 2023 ~ Many thanks to the lovely team of Brooklyn Music Kitchen sound, staging, and perfectly Repressions-style purple and green lighting! The Repressions play live all over New York City every month, find their schedule on their website, or any social media. Live music is magical and stickers are free.

Caravan of Dreams and Brooklyn Music Kitchen
What a wonderful weekend of music at two beautiful spots! On Friday DEcember 1st, The Repressions were honored to play at The Plant Powered Disruptors Beatles Tribute Show at the historic Caravan of Dreams! Caravan of Dreams place has been a favorite spot, and an East Village institution since the 1990’s, and Plant Powered Disruptors hosted a great evening including pianist Wendy Ip.
The very next night The Repressions had an excellent show at the lovely Brooklyn Music Kitchen~ comeplete with purple and green themed lighting! Many thanks to Brookyln Music Kitchen and their excellent sound, stage and house team, and to the wonderful crowd!
Cat Joins Band! Saffy plays synth!
Saffy the Cat has added her unique musical talent to The Repressions live performance of “Quiet Solitude,” during their November 21,2023 livestream show on Twitch. While extemporaneous, the band knew it was wise to let her take lead on keyboard. Fans said they appreciated the dark disonance and extreme cuteness that she added.
Saffy likes being part of the band, and showing the audience how to get attention. She received many pets after the performance, as did her sister Tira. The Repressions are very grateful that Saffy decided to jump in on the song. You can watch the full performance on YouTube today.
The Repressions at Brooklyn Music Kitchen
A fine night of indie music awaits! The Repressions will be putting on a show! Singing songs about art, injustice, animals, and emotions as strength. Music and prizes and more~ do come through.

Just announced!
This Friday, October 13th, The Repressions are happy to return to Espresso 77! Coffee, tea, wine, art, and music… one of the loveliest spots in Jackson Heights! 8:30pm. No cover.
It will be a busy weekend as the very next evening, The Repressions play at Shillelagh Tavern with Astoria Music Collective.
The next day, they are taping the SO YEA podcase with AGO, and the episode will released in December.
The following Friday October 20, it’s back to the West Village at the wonderful Organic Grill!
