Live music, real humans in real time playing every guitar style, nonstop, from over a dozen fantastic and diverse artists! Thank you to Twitch superstar guitarist Misha Greysky Music, aka Snarf Music on Twitch, for conducting this train! Join, chat, male requests, and stay on the train to enjoy many amazing performers on Twitch. The show begins at 10 am and continues all day and night, with each artist bringing you to the next channel. You can hop in and out anytime, just follow the names and times on the poster:

Plant Powered Disruptors present BITES, BEATS, AND ADVOCACY! Thursday July 30 at Urban Vegan Kitchen in New York City.

Want to help animals but don’t know where to begin (or what else you could do)? Plant Powered Disruptors got you covered!

Join us for an inspiring evening with volunteers and staff from leading animal rights and welfare organizations, who’ll walk you through the many ways you can get involved, from simple, everyday actions to more hands-on commitments.

Meet our guests:

🎶Live music from vegan musicians The Repressions🎶
🐾 Janani Venkaratamanan — A foodservice professional and grassroots activist who’s been volunteering with The Humane League and other organizations since 2022. Janani is passionate about corporate campaigns and legislative advocacy, and is on a mission to grow the animal rights volunteer base right here in NYC.
🐕 Diana The Vegan — Works with a local dog rescue organization and moonlights as a vegan comedian! Come for the animal advocacy, stay for the laughs.
🐱 Felicitas Oefelein — Will share her experience with cat fostering and the crucial practice of trap & release.
🗳️ Mian Osumi with Voters For Animal Rights will share about building political power for animals. Come learn how the ballot box can be a powerful tool for animal protection!

And because no great evening is complete without great food, be sure to experience delicious plant-based dishes of Urban Vegan Kitchen hosting us. 🌱

Tonight! Barbara solo at Urban Vegan Roots – 3/14

Tonight! Saturday March 14th, Barbara is honored to play at Urban Vegan Roots with Plant Powered Disruptors. This is a variety show with music, uplifting art and stories, a place for activists and community! Plant Powered Disruptors always puts on an excellent and welcoming show! Show begins at 5pm – No cover, all ages!

NPR Tiny Desk Contest 2026 ~ Starpool

“Starpool” is the official entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest 2026! This is a song about imagination through despair, and finding another way.

The NPR Tiny Desk Contest features independent music artists and is a cool showcase of songwriting, and desks! The Repressions desk is floating among the stars behind them, and very tiny.

The Repressions – Live in August

August is full of a variety of Repressions’ shows, live in NYC and live streaming worldwide. It’s a hot time, summer in the city!

Next weekend is packed with Friday, Saturday, Sunday Shows of all styles!

FRIDAY AUGUST 8 – 5:30 pm – The Repressions are going to bring in the weekend with the casual afternoon Window Series at Shill Tavern. How casual can The Repressions be? That’s a challenge. The music will be dreamy and there will no cover. Cozy on up to the window and start the weekend with drink specials and live music!

SATURDAY AUGUST 9 – 2 pm – The Repressions are especially thrilled to be playing with The Bumper Crop Boys at Farley Steps, on Saturday August 9th. This is a free, all ages outdoor show at the historic Farley Building, now Moynihan Train Station in NYC, with the 34th Street Partnership in association with Astoria Music Collective. Barbara has always loved this building, and had no idea she would play a show there someday.

SUNDAY AUGUST 10 – 12:30 pm – The Repressions will be joining Chaos Pixie, They/Them, Natalie Asport, Carissa Johnson and more to play a free, all ages concert on Sunday August 10th at Astoria Open Streets in Queens NYC.

TUESDAY AUGUST 19 – 7 pm – The Repressions join Phil Robinson and Jason Vitelli for the Roomful of Sky Songwriter Stream. This concert will be livestreamed simultaneously on the Roomful of Sky Music’s YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook channels.

An of course, you can always catch The Repressions on their regular livestream on Twitch.

This show is celebrating Women’s History Month with a vegan vibes concert. NPR Tiny Desk Contest 2025 ~ Trust Your Doors

The Repressions’ song “Trust Your Doors” is the official entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest 2025! This is a song about the difficulty of making changes, for even the best changes to our lives are not easy.

This contest features independent artists and is a lovely showcase of songwriting, and desks! A new tiny Repressions desk and all of the previous customized tiny desks can be seen in between the color scheme. Thank you for watching!
