What do you do when a local band that you love contacts you and asks you to fill in for a cancellation just five hours before showtime? You say yes, of course, and if you are The Repressions, you say yes and get manic, sleepy, worried, manic again, and then happy and grateful. What a fantastic show! We are grateful!
Hello again, World! Super surprise last minute Show! The Repressions are opening for The Concentrics TONIGHT at their big annual show at Shillelagh Tavern! We are honored and very hyper! (And hoping those are veggie burgers in that poster ) Stop on down!
The Repressions had a wondrously colorful time at the 40th Annual Unicorn-on-a-Kebabathon Show. They were terribly awkward emcees to a night of magic and bad banter. They were enthralled to share the stage with Zoe Over Zero, Space Jump Live, The Greenstreets, Dirty Wings, and Nelly Dubarry. Thanks to Justin Finley, Irish Whiskey Bar and everyone who came out that night. So much glitter!

You have three chances to see The Repressions here in New York City in July… hopefully you can attend one, or half, or two and three quarters or maybe maybe all three shows? There will be different set lists at each show, and at least one nervous breakdown given the odds. The Repressions are jubilant this July.
The Repressions are almost too excited for tomorrow’s big show at The Brooklyn Waterfront Artist’s Coalition! They are coming out in daylight.

Wow! The Repressions are wildly happy to be playing for the Brooklyn Waterfront Artits Coalition on May 29. This is a free show, on a lovely Sunday afternoon, surrounded by art and culture and plenty to do for the whole family. Time to get weird on the waterfront!
The Repressions were blessed to have such an incredible audience at Shillelagh Tavern on April 17. They were also thrilled to share a bill with Astoria favorites KaylaO’Keefe and Joe Pepe, and Lux from Massachusetts. What an incredible night!
