Ophelia’s Song live, Red Carpet Photos & More

It has been a very busy October! Lots of live shows in NYC, Barbara’s piano mid-term at Juilliard Extension, an upcoming Halloween show on Twitch, and of course, attending the Chelsea Film Festival as our song “We Are The Strange Ones” is featured in Friends Not Food. We’re trying to post at least one video from every live show this year on YouTube, and you can find the shorts and reels on Tiktok, Instagram and more for the short versions. This week it’s “Ophelia’s Song” live at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn. We had an amzing time playing there. Video and link below. Such a fantastic month!

Porch Stomp Music Festival Today

The Repressions are playing at 12:30pm on the King Avenue Stage, today, at the 2025 Porch Stomp Music Festival! This is a free, all ages show with 18 stages, hundreds of perfomers and the weather is looking beautiful for tomorrow. Details on travel and more stage maps are available on the Porch Stomp website. The King Avenue Stage is #10 on the map below. Hope to see you there!

Now in its twelfth year, Porch Stomp offers unique performance and educational opportunities, including concerts, workshops and open jams.

The Repressions are jangly-excited to be playing the King Avenue Stage at Porch Stomp Music Festival! Saturday- June 21st from 11am-6pm. Festival of the Mewz Video – Each Time You Go Away

FESTIVAL OF THE MEWZ

The Repressions are so excited to be part of Festival of the Mewz! 9/7/2024 – Irvine, Kentucky, it’s a 24 hour event with all day music, and an amazing lineup! So many talented artists, including the wonderful Aligned Alchemy! The Repressions will be taking the stage at 11pm, just ahead of the opem jam!

Festival of the Mewz is one event that has been three years in conception. Mother nature and the government have had their say; now we’re coming back singing.

Twitch Music Raid Train Show 5-19-24

Today, Friday May 19th, from 2- 4pm we are so happy to be part of the JEDI FRIENDS RAID TRAIN on Twitch! Live music for 4 days, nonstop, from over 40 fantastic and diverse artists! Thank you to Twitch superstar Jedi Nitemare for conducting this train! Twitch is free to watch from anywhere. Join and stay on the train to enjoy so many amazing performers on Twitch!

June 2023 ~ Show Photos, Porch Stomp Music Festival & More


Playing the Porch Stomp Music Festival on Governor’s Island was a great thrill for The Repressions, as it was their first time playing and attending. Porch Stomp is entirely about community and fellowship among musicians, and New York city can fill an island full. There were simply too many bands and acts and friends on every one of the 20 stages, with so much takent! Thankfully everyone came together for a sing along for the last hour. It was a magical day.

June was also full of fantastic Twitch shows, which brings us to another wonderful, supportive music community. Truly, musicians look out for one another, and Twitch friends and fans who organize the amazing Raid Train events (Thank you @Jedi_Nitemare) foster a sense of conncetion and friendship. The Repressions have to give a special thanks to Stunshine Music and the Gorilla Tag community for their awesome visits!

Also, in June, The Repressions laid down tracks for “Just An Animal,” (the next single due mid August,) released four new YouTube videos, plus shorts, reels and tiktok clips, the band is updating their music studio, and Nate began a summer singing course at Juilliard.

July looks promising!
