Mental Health is so very misunderstood. In addition to the social stigma, there are rampant misconceptions about the help we seek. This song wants to let you know that you are not alone.
Tiny Desk Contest, West Village Shows, Twitch Shows, Cover Shows, Folk-Punk Shows and a New Single! Medicate Me arrives on February 26, and there will be many live performances before and after that. The schedule will be updated as we go.
The Repressions’ new song “To The Wilds” is the official entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest 2023! This contest features independent artists and is a splendid showcase of songwriting and desks! This is the fourth year The Repressions have entered, and all four customized tiny desks can be found in the video, if you look carefully.
To The Wilds is a song about humbly reconnecting with nature. Thank you for watching and remember to seek out the other artists in the contest, it is always full of talent!

The next offical single release will be “Medicate Me” on February 25, 2023. There are many live shows coming up, including twice weekly on Twitch. Every Tuesday from 8pm-10pm, and alternating Fridays and Saturdays.
The Twitch community contuinues to grow, and The Repressions are playing a special set on Sunday 1/22 from 7-9pm as part of the Jedi Friends Raid Train, a 4 day Music Festival.

2022 was such an important year, and there were a few moments, shows and memories that have yet to make it to the site, so here they are together, a jumble of bright lights and the finest friends and a beautiful Followcat.
Nate and Barbara celebrate the new year, five times now, with a new video of BRIGHT LIGHTS. This year features all electronic instrumentation, with live vocals, set to over 50 live performances of the song in 2022.
