Scott Tran is a Brooklyn based violinist-singer-songwriter who has a diverse range of inspirations from Brahms, to the Beatles, to Ben Folds Five. Scott has performed his music as far east as the historic Bitter End and as far west as the Tempe Arts Center. In addition to performing his own music, he has accompanied and shared the stage with many other talented singer songwriters and as well as recording on their songs including Katelyn Richards, Petra Jasmiina, Johanna Telander, Nicole Nadine, and many others.

Having over 30 years of music education and performance experience, Scott has delved into multiple genres from classical to country to rock to pop, bluegrass and Irish fiddle, and even jazz. He studied classical music growing up in Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music. He became a fiddler in Phoenix, Arizona while continuing to play in symphonies locally and teaching privately. In 2010, he moved to New York to hone his skills as a singer-songwriter and was a three time featured artist in the Songwriters Circle Masterclass Showcase.

From playing fiddle in a band at the Revolution Lounge in the famous Las Vegas Mirage Hotel, singing in an a capella choir at Radio City to open for the Rockettes, or performing original music with just his violin and his voice at the historic Bitter End, Scott Tran is nothing if not diverse.

We Are The Strange Ones ~ Live at Rockwood Music Hall~ New Video

New YouTube video today! It;s “We Are The Strange Ones,” live, from their August concert at Rockwood Music Hall. It was a wonderful night with an incredible crowd.

This song is one of the most popular requests, and has been referred to as a second theme song of sorts (since there is already an official theme song.) Our society can make people feel like outsiders, simply because they care about things. If it is strange to care, that’s okay. We are strange. We’ll always care.

You can find the official track for this song on Spotify and all other music platforms, just click the links above.
