The Repressions are jangly-excited to be playing the King Avenue Stage at Porch Stomp Music Festival! Saturday- June 21st from 11am-6pm. Set on beautiful Governors Island, Porch Stomp invites over two hundred folk bands, artists, and performing arts organizations to use the greenery of Nolan Park, Colonels Row, and Liggett Terrace as a space for performance and education, highlighting artistry ranging from traditional folk to old-time, blues, cajun, Irish, bluegrass and Americana. Now in its twelfth year, Porch Stomp offers unique performance and educational opportunities, including concerts, workshops and open jams. Porch Stomp The Repressions will be playing 12:30pm on the King Avenue Stage. What a wonderful day of music it will be!

What a wonderful weekend of music at two beautiful spots! On Friday DEcember 1st, The Repressions were honored to play at The Plant Powered Disruptors Beatles Tribute Show at the historic Caravan of Dreams! Caravan of Dreams place has been a favorite spot, and an East Village institution since the 1990’s, and Plant Powered Disruptors hosted a great evening including pianist Wendy Ip.
The very next night The Repressions had an excellent show at the lovely Brooklyn Music Kitchen~ comeplete with purple and green themed lighting! Many thanks to Brookyln Music Kitchen and their excellent sound, stage and house team, and to the wonderful crowd!
